Very good quick and cheap lunch. $12 for two lunches. We enjoyed a chicken burrito with rice and beans, guacamole and sour cream and a plate of chicken fajita nachos . Everything was served within 5 minutes of ordering. Our drinks were refilled two times. The chips are fresh and the salsa has a nice kick to it. We enjoyed our lunch!

By far my favorite Mexican restaurant. Staff is very friendly, and service is great. They've caused me to become a regular.

So good to come home after a year of being gone and every server, cook and manager remember you and your order! The place has changed a bit. Covered back patio and fresher food! A good addition to an already good place to eat. We had Dos Equis at 30oz for only 3.99! Great beer specials.

By far the best Mexican restaurant in LC!! The servers are friendly and knowledgeable. Always willing to make a recommendation. Cannot go wrong here!

This joint has the same range of items typical Mexican places have but I really enjoyed the flavorful food, quick service, and cheap prices. It only took a few minutes for us to get our food after we ordered. The atmosphere seems pretty authentic to what you might expect in Mexico but I thought the location was a bit awkward requiring you to go through the Days Inn lobby. Overall, good experience.

You may notice I post a lot of 5 stars and you think there's no way those places are 5 star. I grade based on expectations. Meaning, I don't expect the local Mexican joint to have the same ambiance, decor, food presentation and other variables as a high dollar place with wine service, etc. What I do expect is good service, great food and a dining experience that makes me want to return. That being said, this place is the gem in Lenoir City. Hidden in the back lobby of a run down hotel, the food and drink are better than good. In fact, I've never had a bad menu selection. Next time you're in west, west Knoxville, go on down to I-75, exit 81, turn left and look for the sign on the right. You'll be glad you did.

We come to this restaurant frequently. They greet you when you walk in and get you seated, drinks come quickly and so do meals. The guac is great as well as the salsa & cheese dip. I personally love the Chicken Chimi Changa. The shredded chicken is always cooked and seasoned perfectly. We love this place!

Amazing food, great wait staff, great Margarita's! amazing chicken tacos and Guacamole! We walked in, immediately greeted and seated. After ordering our drinks, they were out I'm under 2 minutes. The food was out in literally 8 minutes. We had a party of 6 and even though they are small, they can definitely accommodate. Onto the drinks. The beer was cold and the mug was frosted. The Margarita's were top notch, everything fit into place after that! Only con: the location is unusual... I will be back very soon!

Cinco Amigos, our love affair is over and I'm shocked!! You have great food and prior to tonight, I would have said friendly service, but the rudeness shown by Cinco's management tonight has broken my heart and I won't be back. Tonight, the manager was walking around asking customers if they were finished with their meals. If they said yes, he told them that if they wanted to keep talking they could move to the bar area. Not drunk customers, not loud customers, not rude customers, but families, groups quietly finishing a meal, and friends laughing were asked to leave just to turn tables. And there was only 4 people in line for a table. Rude and bad for business.

What a surprise for our family - we were traveling from all over the country for a wedding near Knoxville and needed a lunch restaurant to suit vegan, vegetarians, and meat eaters. We called and said we were coming with 17 people (!) and they were happy to accomodate us. When we got there they were all set up, our food came quickly, and best of all it was delicious! The service was very attentive and friendly and all the dishes were great. I wish we could come back. thanks!

We are just stopping through town and this was recommended at the hotel we stopped at. This was delicious inexpensive Mexican food. My boyfriend and I split the chicken nachos and both had a beef taco. Both were good but I enjoyed the chicken a little bit more. It was seasoned wonderful. We also had the cheese dip- had a bit of a kick to it but I mixed it with the salsa and it was yummy. Love small local restaurants! Def try it if you have the chance.. wonderful patio seating as well.

As a native south Texan I think I know my Mexican food. And this place does it well. Excellent enchiladas, chili rellenos etc. . . . The staff caters to children and typically will get the kids food out in 5 minutes or less. Place is in the back of a Days Inn hotel - need I say more about the atmosphere. Staff is quick and the cerveza is frio. Word of caution - the margaritas will make you spin and feel pretty bad the next day. Don't do that unless you have a strong stomach and high alcohol tolerance. Best Mexican in the Knoxville area - I have tried them all!

I went to Cinco Amigos three times while staying in Lenoir City for a week. You might not expect much, seeing as how it shares space with a Day's Inn, but appearances are deceiving. Just go around back for the restaurant entrance. As you enter, there is a bar to the left, dining to the right. There's nothing very special about the decor. There are several television screens for your enjoyment. It's clean and modern. The service is not particularly friendly, but is efficient. But the food is great. The salsa and chips are terrific, and everything I ate had a fresh taste and appearance, and was seasoned just right. Being a vegetarian I ate no meat but there were several veggie-only options. My dining companion had a meat dish and enjoyed. The price is reasonable: dinner and a large beer cost $13, tax and tip included. Go for the food. It's good.

Fantastic service. Filling, tasty food. Had the Enchiladas Supreme. Well exceeded (admittedly low) expectations.

Our favorite Mexican place in town! Even when they're busy, which is often in the evenings, the service is always fast.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
